Group Therapy

Have you questioned your own sanity from loving someone in addiction? Often finding that you have participated in bizarre behaviors yourself. Anxious or depressed, you seek safety by checking on your loved one’s behaviors, phones, tracking locations, constantly looking for signs that tell you things are not ok, yet hoping they are. This Group assists loved one’s in reclaiming your own lives and sanity. Family group is created to address the trauma experienced when a loved one struggles with addiction or a mental health issue. We learn healthy boundaries, effective communication skills, codependency issues, enabling vs support, and developing self care.

A Betrayed Partner has experienced infidelity, pornography, emotional or physical relationship by their partner outside of the relationship. Often questioning themselves, become anxious, depressed, angry, shut down, confused about their relationship and their own emotions. This is a trauma response to your partner’s actions. Betrayed Partners group helps to understand the confusion and emotions surrounding the partners actions and helps to start the healing process. In the group setting we will be using trauma focused interventions and develop the ability to heal from the betrayal by incorporating self care to increase positive self image after experiencing the devastation of learning of partner betrayal.

Trauma and The 12 Steps is a specialized group for individuals who are well established in their 12 step program however have become aware that they need to address their trauma or their recovery could be jeopardized. In an attempt to maintain their 12 step program of abstinence, they are ready to address their unresolved trauma experiences. This Trauma Group is a small intimate group process in a safe setting to identify various types of traumatic incidents from childhood physical, verbal, and sexual abuse. Adult sexual assaults, domestic violence, grief and loss, anxiety, which includes all types of unresolved woundedness.

Are you experiencing a difficult time going places? Being around others? Started to avoid going to places or even leaving your home? Having difficulty functioning (showering, brushing your teeth, getting dressed)? Dishes are starting to pile up and you can’t seem to get or keep motivation to get things done? Started questioning if you are ok, will this pass, what should I do? If you are experiencing these types of symptoms, Therapy can and will help if you let it. This group will be telehealth so I can assist you where you are at. Although it is telehealth, the commitment and work are important
